Entry #7 Fresh
Here we go again with another documentary about food production. The video fresh was made to help inform people about where their food comes from and how its made. As well in the video they showcase how it is processed and grown throughout the U.S. This video was created for people that want to learn more about where their food comes from. This documentary was very well made as far as documentaries go. It got straight to the point with what is was trying to say and the overall tone was a positive one and gave great insight to how and where are food is made. My overall opinion of this documentary varied throughout the whole thing. I for one am not big on watching documentaries so i had a rough time staying focused. With that being said there were parts that peaked my interest even in the slightest way. The part that stuck out most to me was seeing the sheer volume of animals that they had in there barns. In my opinion it was almost sickening. They also talked about how they used to feed cows other dead cows, after hearing that i was a little sick to my stomach.
My overall opinion on this film isn't too great only because i'm not a big documentary fan but overall it was a good film and very informative. With that being said i still learned a lot from this film it was very educational and I urge anyone that may be curious about where our food comes from to watch it. I believe that this film does matter in a big way for people that are looking to find out more about food production and where it comes from, but for some not knowing where it comes from is better than knowing. As americans i think its better that we do know how our food is produced because in a lot of places they treat the animals in inhumane ways and knowing what you are eating is very important. I'll leave you guys with this question, Do you think it's humane how we treat animals in the production of our food?
