We all know what video games are and if you don't then you've been living under a rock of years now. Video games are the pinnacle of many lives a modest hobby for most, an escape for few, and a lifestyle and career for very few and far between. With the release of pong in 1972 a very simple tennis like game came a insurgence and plethora of even better and more improved games for all to enjoy. Now here we are about 50 years later talking about them in a blog. Video games have touched our lives in ways that we can begin to understand. Growing up i was somewhat of a outcast so i didn't have many friends, but what i did have was the Super Nintendo. I know it sounds sad but as a 8 year old kid their was much to do. That being said id spend hours playing mario games and old school racing games...these games brought joy and excitement. It wasn't until 2006 that we would be blessed with the PS3 and the Xbox 360. These great consoles both included online play this was amazing.

Blog Entry#9 Minecraft

The last time you've heard anything about minecraft was probably 5 years ago. I'm in that same boat. So sit down buckle in and today we're gonna talk about a stupidly simplistic sandbox became my favorite game. Minecraft came out for the Xbox 360 on May 9th, 2012. Coincidentally, that was the day 12 year old me found his new favorite game. Remember bionicles? Yeah I had more than you did, so naturally a game where you could build whatever you wanted was right up my alley.        The Xbox 360 release of minecraft was a barebones version of a already barebones game. It was charmingly simple, dropping you into a world with no instructions or goals. There wasn't much you could do, but thing you could do they nailed perfectly. Combat was straight forward and fun, building stuff was almost therapeutic, and the quiet time spent mining in preparation for what was to come. That space to organize your thoughts and plan out your next move, all the while being serenaded by those fa

I'm sure you've all heard of the game known as Apex legends, but incase you haven't let me fill you in. Apex Legends is a battle royale type game that originated from the makers of the hit game Titanfall  2. These developers own the studio Respawn Entertainment they also had help from the company Panic Button Games. In this game there are 18 playable characters with all unique and different abilities ranging from grappling hooks to even jet packs and bounce pads. This lovely game was released February 4th 2019 since release I haven't been able to put the game down. I've spent a total of just over 2000 hours playing this game and let me tell you it's one of the best games i've played. The gun play in this game is unlike most shooters such as call of duty. Its based around movement and teamwork and without those 2 things you'll never win. Apex Legends has a variety of different guns with unique and powerful abilities lets take the "Kraber" a sni

Here we go again with another documentary about food production.  The video fresh was made to help inform people about where their food comes from and how its made. As well in the video they showcase how it is processed and grown throughout the U.S. This video was created for people that want to learn more about where their food comes from. This documentary was very well made as far as documentaries go. It got straight to the point with what is was trying to say and the overall tone was a positive one and gave great insight to how and where are food is made. My overall opinion of this documentary varied throughout the whole thing. I for one am not big on watching documentaries so i had a rough time staying focused. With that being said there were parts that peaked my interest even in the slightest way. The part that stuck out most to me was seeing the sheer volume of animals that they had in there barns. In my opinion it was almost sickening. They also talked about how they used to fee

In the allstate ad Tailgater :30 the author of the ad is most like attempting to promote a chaotic experience and feeling from the viewer. The way the main spokesman drives the car and causes the accident in the ad produces a feeling of anxiousness and chaotic energy from the viewer while watching it all go down. The Ad is promoting a safer lifestyle by showing what a dangerous lifestyle looks like and is saying life can really hit at anytime so it'd be best to go with there insurance company now rather than later. The implied values and belief to this ad are that life can go south at anytime and any place so its best to be insured. The target audience would definitely be people who don't have insurance because in the ad it implies that not everyone has it. The context of this add is that life can and will go bad at random times therefore it is best to be insured by allstate. We can deduce from this that a lot of americans may not have access to affordable insurance. The main a

When i was about 17 years old I went snowboarding for the 3rd time ever in my life with my father, admittedly i was more eager than i was good at snowboarding. The day was nice it was about 7:00 am up in snowbowl flagstaff. It had just snowed the night prior so the air was a crisp and cold 30 degrees we had just left our hotel to head up to the mountain to snowboard. In the car we 3 people it was; My father, My uncle, and Me. we were geared up and ready to head up to the mountain and have a great time it was about a 30 minute drive from our hotel to the mountain we we gonna be on. Once we arrived we parked a little ways down the mountain grabbed our snowboards and our goggles and proceeded to the base of the mountain where we got out lift passes. When we got to the ticket booths we waited in lines for about another 45 minutes to get out lift passes. There was at least 200 people on that mountain that day each one just as excited as the next to head up the mountain. we had acquired our

Brysons Blog Entry "The Importance of Friends" #4

Being alone is dangerous, once you’re in a bad place alone its next to impossible to get out, but with the help of some friends it gives you a fighting chance to get better. I was a quiet kid I didn’t talk to a lot of people growing up and really didn’t have friends.   From kindergarten to about 5 th grade I went to a school called Sundance elementary. Here is where I found my first group of friends, we hit it off! I thought these we’re the friends I would have for a lifetime. Come 5 th grade my mom pulled me aside and said, “you’re going to be switching schools”. I was devastated I was about to leave the friends I had tried to so hard to make and grown up with. This was a disaster. As the 5 th grade year came to an end the sadness just kept creeping in like a lion stalking its prey. I didn’t know what to do I had to say my goodbyes. During the summer of 5 th grade my old friends and I grew distant, I was losing my friends. We didn’t play outside as much since I moved away, and it
